Johnny de Mol will stop presenting the HLF8 program for the time being, after he has been accused of sexual abuse again. The Dutch presenter announced this himself at the end of the program on Tuesday evening.

According to The Telegraph is it a report of a woman who says that she was drugged with GHB by De Mol a few years ago and was then sexually abused by him in a hotel.
‘Receiving guests to create a cheerful and fascinating show together is no longer possible for me. It is hard for me, but I am now stepping aside to work on my defence’, said De Mol.
“It’s very hard for me, the show goes on, but I’m now stepping aside to work on my defense in the hope and expectation that the truth will come out and I can just get on with my work. Thank you and I hope to see you soon,” the presenter concluded.
Abuse
An investigation into De Mol is currently underway at the Dutch Public Prosecution Service, in a case brought by his ex-fiancée Shima Kaes. She accuses De Mol of abuse during their relationship in 2015. De Mol denies the allegations.
De Mol and his father John de Mol, in turn, filed a complaint against Kaes for an attempted threat, which is a legal term for blackmail. His lawyer Peter Plasman previously told Dutch media that Kaes’ agents would have made contact with both Johnny de Mol and his parents before the woman filed a complaint ‘to induce the family to achieve a performance – read: payment’.
The future of the HLF8 program is still being discussed at the production company Talpa, a spokeswoman said to the Dutch media. De Mol was previously replaced by Hélène Hendriks.
