Director of all parts of the action series “John Wick” Chad Stahelski does not plan to remain within one franchise – he wants to prove himself in other famous series. Such as “Star Wars”. In an interview with the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Stahelski admitted not only his love for Star Wars, but also his desire to get involved in directing films in the world of Lucas’ grandfather:
I’m in the Star Wars camp – the first movie just changed my life. I hope Disney is listening to this now.
I myself don’t mind testing this universe for strength. I invite everyone to see how Disney can digest me.
Stahelski also doesn’t mind getting stuck into Marvel, but he’s only interested in one character there: Blade.
Now the chief director is preparing for a full-length reboot of “Highlander” with Henry Cavill in the role of the immortal warrior Connor MacLeod. He is also working on an adaptation of the video game Ghost of Tsushima. As you can see, he seems to be very interested in sword fighting. Star Wars fits into this quite well.
Well, John Wick 5 is also in development at Lionsgate, although Stahelski and Keanu Reeves seem to be on the sidelines
