John Textor’s Press Conference: OL’s Direction and Plans for the Future

A press conference of “last minute” as recognized John Textorto explain a little more the direction taken in recent hours.

The owner of OL, who became CEO instead of Jean Michel Aulas, talked a lot. But ultimately didn’t say much.

John Textor repeatedly thanked his predecessor, congratulated him. And swear to have kept with him “a very good relationship. You shouldn’t exaggerate the tensions that are normal in human relationships”.

(…) We are taking a leadership role over him but I still hope to learn from him”, clarified John Textor.

What about Cheyrou? John Textor promised he mattered “Adding people, not taking people away. The press and supporters focus on individuals. But work is being done on where to go. not made a decision”.

Who will these added people be? Of the “talent scouts to avoid wasting money”. John Textor calls for becoming more “effective in the search for talent. We have the digital capacity to analyze tens of thousands of players. (…) In Lyon, it’s limited. We lack resources”.
