During a press conference granted to some media including O&LJohn Textor said he planned to make the trip to Lyons during the first days of January.
As he confided during his face to face with part of the French press, and in particular Olympic-and-Lyonnaise, John Textor “love football” and look “almost 250 games a year, often on the sidelines”. The new majority owner of OL has therefore logically planned to come to Lyon very soon, from the first week of January. He could potentially be in attendance for the 32nd Coupe de France final between his new club and Metz on 7 January.
Came to Lyon in mid-September
The American businessman explained that he would be making the trip with his family after Christmas and New Year’s. In mid-September he had already packed his bags in the Rhone for a few days, taking the opportunity to watch the clash between the Lyonnais and Parisians (0-1). “I have two sons who are in love with football. The first was able to attend a game, the second was angry because he couldn’t come because he had exams”he said at the end of this exchange.
