The killer made the horrific decision to take a human life driven by selfishness because he was aware that “murderers are not just some”.
The killer of Beatles legend John Lennon has revealed his motivation for pulling the trigger on him. Mark David Chapman said he shot the musician because he wanted to be someone, writes the British newspaper “Daily Telegraph”. The killer made the horrific decision to take a human life driven by selfishness, because he was aware that “killers are not just some”.
The criminal even hesitated in choosing his victim – between Lennon and Elizabeth Taylor. The Beatles rock star was among the first on Chapman’s list because he was “more accessible”.
Chapman was sentenced to 20 years in prison. On December 8, 1980, he shot John Lennon five times, and pleaded guilty in court.
