The 45-year-old TV presenter follows American actor Patrick Dempsey with his fun title.
The American John Krasinski (45) is the “Sexiest Man Alive” of 2024 for the US magazine “People”. TV presenter Stephen Colbert presented the actor and director as the man with the supposed greatest sex appeal in his “ Late Show”. In a funny video clip, Krasinski gave the moderator tips on how Colbert could become sexier.
Krasinki, who is married to British actress Emily Blunt (41, “Oppenheimer”) and has two daughters, played office worker Jim in the comedy series “The Office” from 2005 to 2013. Among other things, he directed the horror series “A Quiet Place”.
According to People.com, Krasinski said it was with “a lot of joy” that he told Blunt about being crowned “Sexiest Man Alive.” He joked that his wife was thrilled and suggested re-papering the entire house with the People cover.

Double award winners
Last year the choice fell on the American actor Patrick Dempsey (58, “Grey’s Anatomy”). He said at the time that he didn’t want to hand over this title to a successor next year: “I honestly don’t know why there has to be anyone else after me,” Dempsey joked.
People magazine has awarded the title annually since 1985. The first winner was the actor Mel Gibson. Dempsey was preceded by his fellow actors Chris Evans (“Captain America: The First Avenger”), Paul Rudd (“Ant-Man”), Michael B. Jordan (“Black Panther”) and the musician John Legend (“All of Me”) named “Sexiest Man Alive”.
Four men have won the title twice over the years: Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, George Clooney and Richard Gere. Many of them reacted to the award with humor, which is probably not entirely serious even from the awarding companies. (APA)
