John Klingberg, 30, is traded from the Anaheim Ducks to the Minnesota Wild.
After an intense week of heavy trades, Swedish defenseman John Klingberg was one of the biggest names left as the NHL’s trade deadline entered its final trembling hours.
Or yes, it was about minutes in the end…
Because the clock had even passed 9 p.m., Swedish time, when the news was released.
To Minnesota
Klingberg – who a few years ago was one of the NHL’s most outstanding offensive backs, but who had a hard time during his time in the bottom team Anaheim Ducks – is moving to the Minnesota Wild.
Wild, which has recently become a real Swedish colony.
In addition to Klingberg, Marcus Johansson, Gustav Nyquist and Oskar Sundqvist were previously tried during the transfer window, of which the latter’s transfer was announced an hour before Klingberg’s.

Outgoing contract
John Klingberg is on an expiring contract with a cap hit of $4.25 million.
