The market expert, Paolo Bargiggia, through the pages of his website, Paolobargiggia.it, revealed exclusively some indiscretions relating to the corporate structure of Juventus and in particular to the position of Andrea Agnelli. Here are his words: “The indiscretion is strong and comes from a reliable source. The fact would not have occurred after the disappointing draw in the derby but still not too long before. We are talking about an interview between the president and CEO of Exor John Elkann and his cousin Andrea Agnelli, the powerful manager who, through the family holding company, manages Juventus, among other things, would ask the president of Juventus to step aside next season, with a view to renewing the board that manages the Juventus club.
Andrea Agnelli, who deserves credit for having made the Juventus brand grow significantly at a commercial and sporting level, without ever achieving the Champions dream, would not have taken it well. In fact, in exchange, he would have asked to eventually be moved to Ferrari in a similar apical role. We obviously do not know John Elkann’s answer to this; but they told us that Exor’s number one would also have aired the hypothesis of leaving Juventus’ financial management to sell it with all the burdens and honors, possibly to Andrea Agnelli if he were ready for such an operation. For the latter, obviously, one thing is to manage a club with the money of others, another to put in some finances and personal coverage (…) However, we do not believe that, if there is a total revolution, it will depend exclusively on a possible failure to enter the Champions League. But, from the desire that John Elkann will have to start from scratch and from how much capital he will eventually want to invest (…) “.
