The upgrade has been funded by EIT Food, Europe’s leading food innovation initiative. The DLC will be available for both the PC and console versions and includes new gameplay elements for a more ecological farming. It is also part of the Precision Agriculture Project designed to spread awareness about modern agriculture.

Initiated by agricultural machine manufacturer John Deere, the Precision Agriculture Project will run for two years in collaboration with the European Union, the University of Hohenheim in Germany and the University of Reading in England.

Modern precision agriculture technologies are introduced into Farming Simulator as one of EIT’s many efforts to raise awareness of sustainable agriculture and address the false belief that sustainable agriculture is only possible on small farms producing organic crops.
