The abuses were discussed in the BOOS program, by maker Tim Hofman. Several women shared their stories about sexually transgressive behavior behind the scenes. In total, dozens of women told their story about band leader Jeroen Rietbergen, coaches Ali B and Marco Borsato and a director.
Declarations
Rietbergen resigned before the broadcast. He admitted to having had “sexual relationships” with women involved in the program.
RTL stopped the collaboration with coach Ali B during the investigation. He has two charges, one for rape.

De Mol said about the revelations that he hopes they ‘set an example’ and that if victims ‘it ever happens again’ they have learned ‘to immediately ring the bell and report this immediately’.
‘Nauseous’
On Friday, Uslu said that he had become ‘nauseous’ by the reports about sexually transgressive behavior in the program and that he wanted a conversation about it with ‘the broadcasters and John de Mol’. She also distanced herself from De Mol’s comments about women who have to report it themselves.

“It’s not the women’s fault. Men really have to take responsibility here.” She also said that she “wants to take every opportunity” that there is to open investigations. “This is not going to last.”

Until 2019, De Mol was ultimately responsible for the program that he once devised himself. He received a lot of criticism for his comments, including through an advertisement by Talpa women in the AD. The full-page advertisement reads ‘Dear John, it’s not the women’s fault’.
