John de Bever does not make friends in Expedition Robinson

This article contains spoilers about the latest episode of Expeditie Robinson.

Rob loses out on the first day of the expedition and is left with a black voice. Meanwhile, on the other island, Eva and John compete for a spot in the expedition. What they don’t know yet is that they are not going back to the group, but to Second Chance Island – where Sieneke is also sent after she is voted out by Kamp Noord.

For the former participants, it’s every man for himself from the start of the expedition, but what they don’t know yet is that a competitor is on the way: the winner of the duel, John. And that is not only a big surprise for the participants, but also for the singer. “Of course they are old participants of Expeditie Robinson, so they know a little bit about things,” he says. John has to get straight to work during a thrilling immunity test, which Jayjay eventually wins.

Then the scheming starts right away. John, in particular, is already busy blackmailing Rob – although he claims not to bond. That the ‘You Can’t Get That Smile Off My Face’ star has started a charm offensive makes Rob insecure. He still has a black vote to his name and that does not make his position in the group any better. The fact that John keeps repeating that the group should send Rob home does not help his mood either. “What irritates me a bit is his attitude,” says Rob during his confession. “I don’t think that will work in his favor, if you talk like that about colleagues who have been hanging out with each other for a week.”

This becomes apparent during the island council, where dropout Sieneke also joins the group. John eventually gets the most votes, but his adventure isn’t over yet. He can go back to Afvallerseiland. “I’m coming back stronger than ever.”

Every Thursday at 8.30 p.m. the battle of these former expedition members can be seen on RTL 4, while the episodes every Sunday at 8 p.m. continue to focus on the other expedition with eighteen participants. How and when these two expeditions come together will become obvious.

It remains to be seen whether farmer Annemiek will last until then, because the images below show that the program is taking its toll.
