The Argovian hopeful lost 3’19” on the leader of the general classification, the American Matthew Riccitello, at the end of the 7th stage, disputed in two parts this Saturday: a morning time trial between Montricher- Albanne and the Karellis (11.1 km), then 70 km between the Savoyard resort and the Mont-Cenis pass. 8th in qualifying, 1’44” behind Riccitello, Jan Christen crossed the finish line in 17th position in the afternoon.

In general, the European champion hopes 2022 drops from 8th to 9th place and now has a disbursement of 4’43” on first place, against 1’24” the day before.
The 8th and final stage, this Sunday, will connect Val-Cenis to Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise (100 km).
