It was in April 2018 that the ski star Johannes Høsflot Klæbo (24) revealed that he had found love. The cross-country skier had recently started using YouTube, and it was in a video where he could reveal that he had found happiness with Pernille Døsvik.
In Ida Fladen’s podcast, “Ida with her heart in her hand”, Høsflot Klæbo opens up about how they met and how the first date degenerated.
Girlfriend: – It has cost a lot

– It started with me coming across her on Instagram. We were russ at the same time, and have had mutual acquaintances. Then it was much easier than if it had been a complete stranger, he says in the podcast.
– I think she was a hard nut to crack in the beginning. I felt I was working hard to make it happen.
The cross-country skier continues in the podcast about their first meeting. He says they could not meet in public the first time for fear of rumors.

– She was simply so unlucky that she had to come straight to my house, and the first person she met there was both mom and dad. Then you do not think both brother and sister would go in and see who came to visit. I think it was tiny. I can not understand anything else, he laughs.
Dagbladet has been in contact with Haakon Klæbo who informs that Høsflot Klæbo will not comment on anything beyond what appears in the podcast.

The couple got back together in 2017, and two years later the two bought a house together.

After the World Cup gold in the sprint in Oberstdorf, Klæbo opened up about how the last few months had been.
– You learn to live with it
– She means a lot to me. We have not been together much in the last couple of months. She has been at her parents’ house, and I have been preparing for these days. I will call her later tonight, then we will have a nice chat then, Klæbo told Dagbladet at the time.
