Tomáš Weimann attributed his victory in Survivor to his strong life story, while Martin Konečný claimed that he underwent the greatest transformation on the island. In retrospect, however, it is clear that the biggest fighter was probably Johanka Fabišíková, who decided to reveal her privacy only after dropping out of the show. She talked about her sister’s suicide right in the eXtra Hosta studio.
Although Johana Fabišíková did not reach the title of Survivor 2023, many viewers of this show consider her the winner. And that’s mainly because she made the most fundamental steps in the game and often moved her opponents like pieces on a chessboard.
She kept her privacy a secret in Survivor
Although it might seem that Tomáš Weimann deserved the win more because of his strong life story, Fabišíková, who revealed only a minimum of her privacy on the island, has now spoken about her life’s sorrows, and it must be said that her words send chills down the spine. Not only did she grow up with only her mother and grandmother and admits that they often had nothing to eat, but she also spoke about the suicide of her beloved sister.
“My sister died. Older, the only one. It’s been a long time,” stated in the studio of the eXtra Host program Fabišíková, who today still has two siblings, but they already have a different father.

“It was such a sudden, unexpected loss for the whole family. It was a big shock. No one expected it. I got over it for a long time, you can’t put up with it,” added Johanka, who we asked how her sister lost her life.
“She swallowed the medicine. She took her own life. That’s something that when you’re fourteen you don’t want to contend with in your head that your sister died who chose to die. But it is something that helped me in my life in a way. I never feel alone. I miss you here. It is difficult. You learn to live with the pain,” described Johanka, who pushed this dark period of her life out of her memories.
She didn’t want to be pitied on Survivor
“I do not remember. It’s a period I’m in a fog about. I remember that day, a few days after, I remember the funeral, the moments when the family came to us. It was so strong, heavy and painful that it displaces a person. That happened to me too. There are a lot of things I don’t remember,” added Fabišíková, who also spoke about her challenging childhood in an extensive interview. And she revealed why, unlike her rivals, she didn’t reveal her privacy on Survivor.
