John Tanak was elected head of the KPK through an electoral mechanism in Commission III of the DPR. KPK president Firli Bahuri said he was satisfied with his election John Tanak became one of the leaders of the KPK.

Firli welcomes Tanak to become a member of the KPK. He ordered John Tanak to jointly eradicate corruption in Indonesia.

As previously reported, the majority of the members of the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission III chose KPK leadership candidate (capim) Johanis Tanak as the elected leader of the KPK. Johanis Tanak was elected to replace Lili Pintauli Siregar.
Monitoring detik.com at Committee III DPR RI, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday (28/9/2022). Johanis Tanak got 38 votes, while I Nyoman Wara only got 14 votes. A total of 53 votes, with 1 abstention.

In his presentation, Nyoman introduced the trilogy on the eradication of corruption. The trilogy is awareness raising, system strengthening and enforcement.
“We call this the optimization of what the government and the KPK have implemented. So far we have had the KPK with various human resources powers for facilities and infrastructure,” Nyoman said.
“We are trying to optimize everything in the form of a corruption eradication trilogy, ie the first awareness strengthening. The second, system strengthening and the third, action,” he continued.
Johanis Tanak stressed the importance of prevention in efforts to eradicate corruption. He recounted his experience of him often providing socialization when he was still serving as Attorney General.
“And then I also thought that eradicating corruption was really necessary, but in my view, the priority scale is ideally prevention, not action. Take action unless something happens,” he said.
“When I was the head of Central Sulawesi High Procuratorate and Jambi High Procuratorate, I definitely went to the local government. I asked all the heads of the service to be present. I gave socialization about eradicating corruption,” he continued. .
