Jogosatru Village Residents Hold Thanksgiving Event After Masriah’s Disturbance

Jakarta

Residents of Jogosatru Village RT 1/RW 1, Sukodono, Sidoarjo, revealed the reasons for holding a thanksgiving event after Masriah urine and excrement sprinklers thrown into prison. Residents say the atmosphere of the village was initially peaceful before Masriah act up.

Quoted from detikJatim, Sunday (4/6/2023), the residents gave thanks after seeing Masriah detained for pouring urine and feces into her neighbour’s house, Wiwik. Currently, Masriah is sentenced to 1 month in prison. Now, Masriah is serving a period of confinement in Class II A Penitentiary (Lapas) Sidoarjo. She was quarantined for 14 days before being put in a women’s cell with other detainees.

A resident of Jogosatru Village RT 1/RW 1, Raffi (20) said that the thanksgiving had indeed been planned beforehand. He said Masriah’s actions had made the environment uncomfortable.

“Actually, the residents of this village have lived peacefully for a long time. Because of the watering incident, the village was not peaceful. So the residents asked that Ms. Masriah be given the harshest sanctions possible,” said Raffi, Saturday (4/6/2023).

“With this thanksgiving, mothers hope that Mrs. Masriah will be aware of this dishonorable act. Hopefully after leaving prison she can change her behavior,” Raffi added.
