Jogger arrested for burglary, then offered job with police | Abroad

Images show a cop saying to 28-year-old Joseph Griffin: “Hey friend, you’re not in trouble or anything. But there has been a robbery and you are a bit like the description of the perpetrator. ”

According to the officer, the suspect was wearing a white shirt and black shorts and had a beard, just what Griffin looks like at the time. The man is taken to the station, but released when it appears that he has nothing to do with the case. The suspected perpetrator is arrested a short time later.

Sheriff Mike Chitwood was impressed by his agents and Griffin, he told CNN. “I called him to thank him for how he handled the situation. If you are stopped by the police, this is how you should behave. This is a learning moment. We can learn from each other. ” When Chitwood learned that Griffin had served in the military, he made a proposal. “I have offered him a job. We currently have 40 vacancies. But he declined the job and said he will continue to work in healthcare. ”
