Jofra Archer bowls for Karnataka in practice match amid T20 World Cup considerations

English pacer Jofra Archer played for Karnataka in the practice match. Archer, who plays for the English county team Sussex, is in Bengaluru as part of the pre-season training camp. Sussex’s plan was to play a practice match against Bengaluru Royal Challengers. But it didn’t happen due to RCB’s busy training schedule.

Instead, the county team is training with the team prepared by the Karnataka Cricket Association. Archer played with the Sussex team in the first training matches. The player bowled for the Karnataka State Cricket Association XI on Friday. With this, the pacer took both the wickets of his own team. The video of the match has been shared on Sussex X handle.

Archer was acquired by Mumbai Indians in the mega auction of 2022. But the star lost that season due to injury. Archer played only four matches in 2023 due to injury. Archer did not participate in this year’s auction. The England Cricket Board is considering the player for the T20 World Cup squad to be held in West Indies and USA in June.
