Joel Embiid set his career best record, scoring 50 points, and the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Chicago Bulls 112-105 yesterday.
Embiid added 17 rebounds, five assists, four blocks and two rebounds in a dominant performance on both ends of the floor.
Tobias Harris had 22 points and 12 rebounds for the leading 76’ers of the Eastern Conference, who played the second straight game without the sick Ben Simmons.
With this victory, Doc Rivers was assured of being one of the coaches of the All-Star Game.
Zach LaVine scored 30 points for the Bulls.
BUCKS COURT BAD RACHA
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 29 points, set a season record of 19 rebounds and delivered eight assists as the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 98-85.
The Bucks broke a five-game losing streak. They had the best record in the NBA over the past two regular seasons.
For now, they’ve been content to avoid what would have been their first six-game losing streak since March 12-22, 2015. They hadn’t lost five in a row since the January 25-January 3 game. February 2017.
Khris Middleton added 20 points to the Bucks’ cause.
Lu Dort added 17 points for the Thunder, of which 85 points were the least of a Bucks rival all season.
