President Joe Biden – the man who turned his presidency into prostitution after reviving the disastrous nuclear deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran – has officially notified Congress that he has directed US military force against terrorist groups funded and trained by the same republic.
Now, can we expect Americans to believe that he knows what he’s doing?
On Friday, as reported by The Washington Times, Biden approached House Speaker Mike Johnson (Republican) and Senate President Acting Democrat Patty Murray (Patty Murray) with a request to fulfill the requirement of The War Powers Act of 1973 (War Powers Act), which requires the president to consult with the leaders of both houses of Congress before sending US forces on military operations abroad.

In his letter to Congress, Biden specifically pointed to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as the mastermind behind the attacks on US military forces in Iraq and Syria. It then cited US strikes against facilities used by the Iranian Guards and command and control groups to store ammunition and other purposes also linked to the Iranian Guards. The strikes were intended to deter and were conducted in a way that would limit the risk of escalation and civilian casualties.
“I ordered the strikes to protect our personnel, to reduce and interrupt the ongoing series of attacks against the United States and our partners, to deter Iran and Iranian-backed militias from conducting further attacks against United States personnel and facilities “, the president wrote.
It is very likely that the mullahs in Tehran were not very impressed with his letter.
Since taking his presidential oath of office, Biden has shown nothing but weakness. Within days, he surrendered the southern border to have the country ravaged by an invasion of illegal aliens.
Within months, he betrayed the country’s military strategy by ordering the humiliating retreat from Afghanistan.
Within a year, he gave essentially effective approval to Russian President Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine, setting off the worst fighting in Europe since World War II.
And all the while he was implementing the Iran nuclear deal first struck in 2015 by then-President Barack Obama before it was completely scrapped by former President Donald Trump, who has always treated Tehran with the understanding that it is a of the most dangerous adversaries the United States faces in the world. With Biden, the exact opposite happened. After years of self-humiliation – the US team could not even negotiate face-to-face with the Iranians in Vienna, only other Western nations were allowed to negotiate; and the humiliation of Iran arrogantly announcing its intent to destroy Israel, Biden traded it for a disgraceful deal to release American citizens held by Iran in exchange for unfreezing $6 billion in Iranian money.
Now, after his personal presidential appeasement that would have made Neville Chamberlain blush, he expects the country to believe he is the Mr. Tough Man feared by Muslims in the Middle East. Let us recall that this is the same president who on October 10th was unable to state with conviction what the whole world knows: Iran had a hand in the October 7th Hamas massacre that killed some 1,400 Jews. In his speech after the massacre, Biden did not even acknowledge this. And now he’s putting it in writing that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is the poltergeist behind the flames of violence igniting the entire Middle East.
No American who has lived more than two decades after 9/11 takes lightly the prospect of entering another war. And all signs point to the US being pushed into something big happening in the Middle East and around the world. The atmosphere crackles with news of wars and rumors of wars.
Even his supporters worry whether the commander-in-chief has the mental capacity to act as a wartime president. Biden’s critics—and they are legion—could never be convinced of that. He is too old. Corrupt. Too dishonest to serve the American people at the most critical moments of his tenure.
This is the reality the Democrats brought the country to when they elected this hollow shell of a former politician to serve as the leader of the world’s only superpower. This is the reality that the establishment media has openly enjoyed. This is precisely the reality that bites so hard that even the Democrats cannot escape.
