In an email interview with US magazine, Pesci describes how confident he was that “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” – the original title – would be a hit.
The reason is that they stayed with the Home Alone cast and crew, the actor said. “More spontaneity and creativity” was evident on the slapstick comedy set.
He found words of praise for the lead actor in the Christmas film, calling Macauly Culkin (now 42) “a really sweet guy” and “very professional even at his age”.
However, he said he deliberately distanced himself from Culkin during filming to emphasize the dynamic between lovable boy Kevin and villain Harry in the film. Movie to keep.
“I wanted to maintain the integrity of the amicable relationship,” the actor clarifies.
