Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner confirm the news that they are getting a divorce. According to the singer and actress, the divorce is a mutual decision.
“After a marriage of four beautiful years, we have decided together to end it amicably,” Turner and Jonas write on Wednesday Instagram. “There is a lot of speculation about why we are separating, but this is really a mutual decision. We hope everyone can respect our wish for privacy for ourselves and our children.”
Earlier in the day it was announced that Jonas had officially filed for divorce. Divorce papers state that the marriage is “damaged beyond repair”. In recent days there have been rumors that the Jonas Brother and the Game of Thronesactress are no longer together. For example, the singer was seen several times without a wedding ring and their joint house in Miami was for sale.
Jonas, 34, and Turner, 27, got into a relationship in 2016 and married in 2019 in Las Vegas. The couple have two daughters, born in 2020 and 2022. Jonas has filed for joint custody of them.
