AMERICAN PRESIDENTIAL – As all eyes begin to turn to Florida and Texas, the results are arriving in states where pollsters weren’t expecting any big surprises.

On the night of Tuesday 3 to Wednesday 4 November, Joe Biden notably won the states of New York, Rhode Island, Illinois and Colorado against Donald Trump.

According to first estimates, the Democratic presidential candidate 2020 thus wins the 62 main voters of these states. Biden also won New Mexico moments later and racked up five more voters.

To win the election, the candidate will need at least 270 voters, more than half of the 538 who form the electoral college which will then be required to formalize the vote of the American people.
