Joe Biden’s granddaughter marries in the White House

Jakarta

Washing Women President of the United States of America (USA) Joe Biden, Naomi, married her lover in the White House, Washington DC. The wedding ceremony of the US president’s nephew is the first sacred event in Indonesia White House.

As reported AFP extension, Sunday (11/20/2022), President Joe Biden welcomed guests to the White House for the wedding of his granddaughter Naomi. This unprecedented ceremony was closed to the media.

Biden’s nephew is 28 and works as a lawyer and is married to a man named Peter Neal (25), who has a law degree. The two were married at the South Lawn mansion on Saturday (11/19) at around 11am local time, in the presence of around 250 guests.

According to a photo taken by AFP, the grounds of the White House were decorated with white flowers, as guests have seen.

“It has been a joy to watch Naomi grow up, discover who she is, and carve out an extraordinary life,” Joe and First Lady Jill Biden said in the statement.

“Now, we are so proud to see him choose Peter to be her husband and are honored to welcome him into our family,” they added.

It is not uncommon for the stately presidential residence in America to be decorated for a wedding.

The White House Historical Association says 18 weddings have taken place at the mansion, including to Richard Nixon’s daughter, Tricia, in 1971, and Barack Obama’s official photographer, Pete Souza, in 2013.

The association says the White House has also hosted wedding receptions elsewhere on four occasions, such as for George W. Bush’s daughter Jenna in 2008. But this is the first time the president’s grandchildren have been married there.
