US President Joe Biden’s dog has bitten seven White House employees. The German Shepherd Commander has been living in Washington for six months and is showing aggressive behavior, writes the New York Post.
There have been seven bite incidents in the past four months. For example, Commander would have bitten an employee of the security service in the back. This is evident from declassified documents and internal emails from the US Department of the Interior.
In the most serious incident, the dog allegedly bit an employee’s arm and thigh. The man was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries.
In total, the dog has been involved in ten incidents since his arrival at the White House in 2021. Before that, he would also have shown aggressive behavior in Biden’s home in the state of Delaware. According to the White House, Commander is receiving additional training as a result of the incidents.
Commander is almost two years old, making Biden’s youngest dog. His older dog Major had to leave the White House last year for aggressive behavior. He was sent back to Delaware.
