The president of the United States, Joe Biden, announced on Saturday that he will convene the leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) in the coming hours to coordinate a diplomatic response to Iran’s counterattack on Israel in response to the Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital committed last week.

The US president affirmed his country’s ironclad commitment to Israel’s security, following the drone offensive launched by Iran against military installations in Israeli territory.

Joe Biden stated that the Zionist country “demonstrated a remarkable ability to defend itself and defeat even unprecedented attacks, sending a clear message to its enemies that they cannot effectively threaten Israel’s security.”

Biden warned that they will remain vigilant to all threats and will not hesitate to take the necessary measures.

He also noted that they have not received information about damage to their civil and military forces and facilities in Israel.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran confirmed on Saturday night the launch of the military operation ‘True Promise’ with dozens of drones and missiles against specific Israeli targets.

Iran’s mission to the United Nations reported that the attack on Israel “can be considered concluded.”

“Carried out on the basis of Article 51 of the UN Charter regarding self-defense, Iran’s military action was a response to the Zionist regime’s attack on our diplomatic facilities in Damascus. The matter can be considered concluded,” said the mission on the social network X.
