Joe Biden heads to New York and New Jersey on Tuesday

The american president Joe Biden will visit Tuesday, September 7 at
New York and in the neighboring state of
New Jersey to assess the damage done by the deadly storm Ida, the
White House. He will travel to Manville, New Jersey, and New York City’s Queens neighborhood, according to a statement.

The devastating floods Wednesday night caused the death of 47 people in the megalopolis and its region. Joe Biden had made a trip to Louisiana on Friday,
first American state to be ravaged by Ida, which caused catastrophic damage there.

He took the opportunity to call for national unity against the climate deregulation, which increases the number of extreme weather events. The Democratic president also took the opportunity to praise the merits of his gigantic investment programs, in particular in infrastructure, which he still needs to pass by Congress.
