Joe Biden – Dramatic new vaccine order

NEW YORK (Dagbladet): Biden gives a live speech from the White House night to Friday. Here he will present a plan for how all adult Americans should qualify to be able to get corona vaccine by 1 May. The goal is for the United States to be “closer to normal” by the national day on July 4, writes AP. The plan means that the United States will have enough doses to vaccinate everyone by the end of May.

The goal is to step up the vaccination drastically, so that Americans can gather in small groups on National Day.

To date, more than 530,000 Americans have died from the virus. In addition, many others are hard hit.

Rescue package

The speech comes on the same day as Biden signed the giant rescue package of 1900 billion dollars (about 16150 billion kroner).

Biden’s plan to step up vaccination means, among other things, that an additional 4,000 soldiers will be deployed in the vaccine distribution. He also wants more people – such as medical students, veterinarians and dentists – to be allowed to put the vaccine. Biden will also send more doses to 950 health centers and 20,000 pharmacies across the country to increase access.

At the same time, Biden makes it clear that his schedule demands that Americans continue to wear face masks, continue social distancing, and continue to follow federal guidelines to curb proliferation.

– There is a light at the end of the dark tunnel the last year has been. But we can not relax now, or assume that a victory is inevitable, Biden said on Wednesday, according to CNN.
