Biden: Agreement on the debt ceiling in the United States
US President Joe Biden says he and Republicans’ Kevin McCarthy have agreed on a deal that ensures the debt ceiling is raised. Biden further says that the agreement is ready to be sent to Congress for consideration.
It emerged in a video published on the president’s official website Twitter account Sunday.
The US government risks running out of money by June 5 if Republicans and Democrats in Congress fail to agree.
