So far, Biden has been quietly running for president. But that will change. In the next two weeks, Biden’s campaign will gain new momentum, the portal informs “NPR.”
The president’s message will be clear and stark, as campaign manager Julia Chavez Rodriguez put it: “We’re campaigning as if the fate of our democracy depends on it.”

Biden’s campaign will start more active activities on Saturday, January 6. The date is not chosen by chance. January 6 is the anniversary of the uprising in the US Capitol, when Trump supporters violently tried to keep Trump in power after he lost to Joe Biden in 2020.
“The threat that Donald Trump poses to American democracy in 2020 has become even more dangerous than when President Biden ran last time,” deputy campaign manager Quentin Fulk told reporters.
On the other hand, Vice President Kamala Harris is preparing to start a tour focused on reproductive rights on January 22.
January 2 is the anniversary of the Supreme Court ruling on this matter.
Harris will talk about the chaos and cruelty Trump has created across the country when it comes to women’s health care. Abortion has proven to be a critical issue for voters.
Since announcing last spring that he plans to run for re-election, Biden has not really participated in a public campaign. But he has discussed many of these topics at private fundraisers.
Joe Biden is not the only candidate who claims that democracy is at stake in this US presidential election.
Donald Trump’s campaign released a statement Tuesday: “Joe Biden and his allies are a real and convincing threat to our democracy.”
However, experts are raising the alarm about Trump, not about Biden.
Biden has legislative and policy accomplishments that he likes to talk about and that Democrats are proud of. But right now, voters are still pretty skeptical of Biden’s re-election.
