Jodie Comer Joins Ryan Reynolds to Lead New NHS Campaign

Jodie Comer has joined Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds in urging blood donors to come forward as part of a new NHS campaign.

The Killing Eve star and the 44-year-old Canadian actor have spearheaded a new video campaign emphasizing the importance of donating blood for the NHS.

The video, shot against the backdrop of a film set, shows Reynolds asking audiences to be like his character in the movie, who “always gives 100% in everything he does.”

The 28-year-old scouser later says that each donation could save up to three lives.

The actress will star opposite Reynolds in the new comedy film Free Guy, which is anticipated to be released later this summer.

The star-studded film tells the story of a bank teller named Guy who discovers that he is actually a background gamer in an open-world video game and decides to become the hero of his own story.

The NHS clip includes excerpts from Free Guy, including a scene in which Reynolds declares: “There is a little hero in all of us.”

Printable “I’m a Great Guy” logo badges are also available to download online as part of the campaign.

The NHS is asking blood donors to come forward if they are O positive, O negative or B negative.

Comer will appear in a number of upcoming film and television projects, including Sir Ridley Scott’s long-awaited historical epic The Last Duel, while Reynolds recently completed an acquisition of the Welsh football club Wrexham with fellow actor Rob McElhenney.
