Jocelyne Wasselin: “Helping the creation of businesses with the ultimate objective of creating jobs”

A retired executive from the semiconductor world, Jocelyne Wasselin has devoted her time to the presidency of the France active Savoie Mont-Blanc association since last May.

An association which has seventeen employees

“The goal of France active is to use the funding made available to us to accelerate the success of committed entrepreneurs. This involves helping to create businesses or associations committed to the ultimate objective of creating or consolidating employment. In 2025, the association will celebrate its 35th anniversary in Savoie. Our funding comes from European funds, the national France active network as well as our institutional and banking partners, including the Region and the Department of Savoie, the BPI and the Banque des Territories. We have more than a hundred volunteers, an office and a board of directors of twenty-four members, as well as seventeen employees. We are organized into two divisions which manage the validation of files: social and solidarity economy (ESS) and VSE. »

350 beneficiaries per year including 150 funding

“Project leaders can contact us directly or are sent to us by our banking partners, because we often act as a guarantor for bank loans. This guarantee can be up to 80% of the loan amount. Each year, we process around a hundred VSE-oriented files as well as around thirty ESS files financed by participatory loans. We offer support for these structures, connecting the project leader and the people who can meet their specific needs. We also grant honorary loans, and from 2025, we will deploy a new offer called Solidarity Assets, to support investment in ESS structures and associations. »

A strategic reflection on the period 2025-2030

“A reflection is being carried out within the 35 territorial associations of the France active network. All stakeholders, volunteers and employees, are working on our strategic direction by 2030. Many questions arise, particularly on how to strengthen and enhance the commitment of project leaders to our action. Our thoughts also focus on greater consideration of the ecological and environmental aspects of the projects we support. »
