The researchers distinguish three groups on the basis of the interviews. The common denominator: they all have trouble finding a job.
Group 1: “These are people who prefer to do completely different work, such as making music or making art, but who still need some money, for example. If they do this work for a long time, they have a big hole in their CV in other areas.”
Group 2: “This is the largest group: these are people who have not worked for a long time, for example because they did not start working immediately after training when they had to take care of their family.”
Group 3: “These are often the social and psychologically weak. People who do have work experience but have had negative experiences at work. For example, people who have done a lot of temporary work and were not involved in all activities.”
