Personal support means supporting people with disabilities in their daily lives through manual support. As a personal assistant, you perform those tasks that the disabled person cannot perform themselves.
We are currently looking for 1 helper for a blind couple in the 16th district (accessible by lines U3 Ottakring, bus 10A, tram line 44).
Activities that require assistance from a personal assistant:
- Assisting with support and providing guidance in an unfamiliar environment (eg at the train station, at leisure events, when visiting authorities, etc.)
- Help with purchases and various errors
- Help in your free time (eg going for a walk, short trips, going to a restaurant, etc.)
- Help with working on the PC (eg typing on announcements, giving verbal picture descriptions, filling in forms, helping to navigate inaccessible websites,…)
- Read out mail and other documents
- Light help around the house (sorting laundry, cleaning, tidying, etc.)
You will bring:
- Time and reliability
- sympathy
- Good communication skills
- Some flexibility in terms of time
- good knowledge of German and English
- Good PC knowledge (eg Acrobat Reader, various common browsers, MS Office)
- No dog hair allergy
Other benefits:

Personal assistants usually do not need any formal training in the health and social sectors. You will be trained individually by the customers! The WAG supports you with a training program as well as careers.
Our range:
- part-time training offered
- Amount of work: approximately 3 hours per week
- Working hours: Monday and Wednesday from approximately 10 am to 12:30 pm or 1 pm
- Employment relationship: Employment according to SWÖ collective agreement,
- Salary for 37 hours per week at least €2,337.60 (practice group 4/1)
