Job Opportunity: Gender and Education Consultant for GCI Projects at IIEP-UNESCO Dakar

IIEP-UNESCO Dakar is recruiting a gender and education consultant to support the implementation of the various GCI (Gender at the Center Initiative / “Priority to Equality” Initiative) projects, and contribute to their visibility and strengthen internal gender capacities.

PROFILE OF THE CONSULTANT

The consultant must meet the following conditions:

• Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in gender, education, international development, economics, social sciences or related fields.
• Proven professional experience in the areas of gender disparity analysis in education, preferably in sub-Saharan Africa
• Proven professional experience in the design of educational policies or development plans for the education sector, preferably in sub-Saharan Africa
• Proven professional experience with ministries of education in Sub-Saharan African countries and development partners
• Professional experience in gender mainstreaming in public policies and organizations
• Excellent command (written and oral) of English or French and written and oral command of the other language

CONSULTANCY PERIOD

The consultancy lasts 11 months (October 30, 2023-September 30, 2024)
