PRESENTATION OF THE HOSPITAL SAINTE-PÉRINE
Located in Paris 16th, the Sainte-Périne AP-HP hospital specializes in the management of pathologies linked to old age.
Hospital open to the city, it has a diversified range of care ranging from acute geriatrics, psycho-geriatrics to long-term care. A palliative care unit and a complex long-term care unit complete this range of care. The Sainte-Périne hospital also offers multidisciplinary outpatient consultations and certified memory consultations.
It currently has 554 beds and places and more than 840 professionals, doctors, caregivers, administrators and technicians put their skills and expertise at the service of hospitalized elderly people.

PRESENTATION OF THE ASSIGNMENT SERVICE
- Complex Extended Care Unit ((USPC) – 24 beds:
The USPC is a unit of life associating complex medical care related to a significant dependence for the acts of the daily life and the activities of leisures and animation.
The multidisciplinary team provides comprehensive support on all medical, curative, preventive, re-educational, psychological and social work aspects with the patient and his entourage.
- Palliative Care Unit (USP) – 10 beds:
This unit takes care of complex cases of end of life and rebellious pain.
The care is delivered in an interdisciplinary way in a global approach of the patient suffering from serious, progressive or terminal illness.
The unit maintains privileged links with a home health network which operates in the west of Paris.
Composition of the Social Service team:
- 1 site manager
- 8 social workers
- 2 secretaries
ACTIVITIES
General mission:
- Provide care for patients hospitalized in USPC and USP
Specific missions:
- Information, orientation and assessment of situations
- Reception and psychosocial support for patients and their relatives
- Facilitation of access to rights
- Active participation in the development of the exit project and implementation of relays when necessary
Specifics of the position:
- In USPC: support for the disabled person
- In USP: support for the person at the end of life
WORKING HOURS
Hours: 38 hours per week – time range of 7:30 am
