The Ministry of Immigration, Francization and Integration of Quebec, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Labor in Mauritius, is organizing a recruitment exercise in the professions of health, catering and services to the elderly .
For nurse positions, you must apply on the Quebec government platform (https://journeesquebec.gouv.qc.ca/soinsinfirmiers.html) no later than November 5. “We will have an online webinar this Wednesday, October 27 at 5:00 pm for Mauritian applicants who wish to apply. We will occasionally give details of the procedures to be followed, the documents that will have to be submitted, the training required, among others, ”indicates an employee at the Ministry of Labor.
However, it is the employer who will make the pre-selection and the final selection. “The job interviews will be from November 15 to 19,” he said, adding that recruitment will take place not only in Mauritius, but also in other countries.

Those selected will be invited to continue the process, starting with an application to the body that governs the profession in Quebec, the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers (OIIQ). A refresher training of approximately nine months in an educational institution must then be successfully completed in one of the 17 administrative regions of Quebec. Financial support and guidance will be offered by the Government of Quebec, throughout the process, to those selected.
For positions in the catering and senior services sector, applications must be submitted online at https://mauritiusjobs.govmu.org/ no later than November 19. “The candidates will be shortlisted in Mauritius and the final selection will be made by the employers. The latter will come to Mauritius from time to time and will summon the preselected candidates for interviews from the end of November: and November 29 to December 1 (Normandin and Villa Saint Georges) ”, one indicates to the Ministry of Labor.
