Job Loss Insurance in UAE from next year – Veekshanam

Abu Dhabi: UAE to launch job loss insurance scheme which guarantees fixed income for up to three months in case of job loss. Joining the program is mandatory for all employees, the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Indigenization said. Effective January 1, 2023.
This insurance scheme will be implemented in two categories. The first category includes those whose monthly basic salary is AED 16,000 or less. They have to pay an insurance premium of 5 dirhams a month and 60 dirhams a year as an insurance premium. Those whose basic salary is more than Dh16,000 fall into the second category. They have to pay a premium of 10 dirhams a month and 120 dirhams a year.
