João Neves renewed his contract with Benfica.
like the morefootball previously reported, the eagles had already closed the agreement for the revision of salary conditions for the 18-year-old midfielder in June. The duration of the bond remains the same, until 2028.
As our newspaper also found out, the clause for the Portuguese under-21 international is now around 100 million euros.
João Neves made his debut in Benfica’s first team last season, aged 18. He was used by Roger Schmidt on 20 occasions and ended the season as a starter, a status he maintains at the start of 2023/24: in the Super Cup victory over FC Porto, he was considered one of the best on the pitch.
