The President of the Republic and the Commander-in-Chief of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) signed a set of orders promoting, dismissing and appointing general officers, admirals and senior officers, as well as ‘ allow others from active military service to retirement, for their age limit.
Among the positions, General Dinis Segunda Lucama stands out, for the position of Inspector General of National Defense, Veterans and Veterans of the Fatherland. Before that, the lieutenant general was dismissed from the position of Chief of the Army General Staff and, later, promoted to the rank of general.
Lieutenant General Manuel Jorge da Conceição will be General Dinis Lucama’s deputy. The vacant post of Chief of Army Staff has been filled by Lieutenant General Francisco Ndala Cativa.
Abílio Nachingue Paquisi was removed from the post of deputy director of the Instituto Superior Técnico Militar of the General Staff of the FAA and was appointed as the national director for Industry and Military Equipment at the Ministry of National Defense, formerly the Fighters and Veterans of the Fatherland. Before his appointment, he had been promoted from brigadier to lieutenant general.
Horácio António Neto was dismissed from the position of Deputy Director for the Aviation Authority of the National Directorate of the Aviation and Maritime Authority and was appointed as the director of this organization assigned to the Ministry of National Defense, Veterans and Veterans Soldiers of the Father. Before that, the brigadier was promoted to lieutenant general.
Lieutenant General Ivo Manuel Mendes Jardim, until then director of the Military Judicial Police, was appointed deputy military prosecutor of the FAA. Lieutenant General António José Neto was dismissed from his position as head of the North Naval Department and was appointed as head of the General Staff Operations Directorate of the FAA.
Lieutenant General Evaristo Domingos Meti was appointed to the post of Army Inspector, and Lieutenant General Francisco José Carmelino dos Santos will perform similar duties in the National Air Force.
Promoted to the rank of vice admiral, admiral Augusto Alfredo Lourenço ceased to be deputy commander for Indigenous Education in the Northern Naval Department to exercise similar duties in the Angolan Navy.
Lieutenant General Amílcar David Etossi Eugénio was appointed commander of the Military Department of Luanda.
