Flamengo and Palmeiras drew goallessyesterday, by Brazilian championship, in Maracana. Before the match, one of the debates among the fans was which of the midfield promises would play more: João Gomes, from Rubro-Negro, or Danilo, from Alviverde.
The two young players had a good performance in the confrontation and, without worrying about the rivalry, exchanged praise on social networks after the duel.
João Gomes published a story on his Instagram, with a photo of the game with Danilo in the background, and wrote: “My brother, what a privilege to compete with you!! Huge admiration for your football. Let’s go up my ace. Maximum respect”.
Danilo reposted the rival’s message on his social network and replied: “The privilege is all my brother, may we continue to play a lot. God has the best for us. We are always together, ace!”.
João Gomes is 21 years old and is one of the main names in the Flamengo at the start of the season. Danilo, 20 years old, is present among the holders of the palm trees since 2020.
