Joanna Brodzik was one of the most popular Polish actresses in the early 2000s. The star, who took her first steps in the film industry by playing episodes in such productions as “Klan”, “Graczykowie” and “With Fire and Sword”, gained her greatest fame thanks to the role of Kasia in the sitcom “Kasia i Tomek”. The funny adventures of a crazy couple turned out to be a real hit in our country and made Joanna Brodzik a big star. Thanks to her growing popularity, the actress could not complain about the lack of offers. In the following years, she appeared in the cinema hit “Never in Life” and a series of film adaptations of Małgorzata Kalicińska’s prose – “Dom nad rozlewiskiem” and its numerous sequels.
At some point, Joanna Brodzik unexpectedly gave up living in the spotlight and withdrew from show business. It is also in vain to look for her private photos and recordings on social media. Many admirers have always wondered what was behind this radical decision.
It turned out that Joanna Brodzik decided to take this step very consciously.
“I am quite a restrained person when it comes to media and I don’t give myself the right to tell anyone what to say or think,” she recently explained in an interview with Plotek.
The actress replied directly that her current “media restraint” is simply due to “maturity and wisdom in waiting for the best choices.”
However, is there a chance that Joanna Brodzik will one day return to the mainstream media? It turns out that the star does not rule out this possibility.
“My late grandmother used to say ‘three times is a charm’. I managed to jump out of the drawer more than three times, so I will most likely jump out of it again on my own terms,” she said mysteriously in an interview with the website.
