José Manuel Figueroa Figueroa, better known as Joan Sebastian, was born on April 8, 1951 in Juliantla, Guerrero.

At the age of eight, he was admitted to a school in Guanajuato, Guanajuato, where he began to express his creativity with various forms of artistic expression such as poetry, prose, and music.

Joan Sebastian created dozens of songs on which he worked hard until the end of his days, but he not only dedicated himself to composing, he also had the gift of writing the most beautiful verses, forming unique poems and full of feelings, which is why it is named “The Poet of the People”.
