Valencia –
Joan Mir can win the world title MotoGP 2020. The notes are even better than what was inscribed Valentino Rossi or Marc Marquez.
Mir confirmed the title of world champion in MotoGP 2020, after being able to finish in MotoGP Valencia 2020, Sunday (15/11/2020). Racer Suzuki ecstar it finished 7th, while at the same time its competitors, namely riders Petronas Yamaha SRT Fabio Quartararo justru crash.
By finishing seventh and Quartararo falling, Mir still leads the MotoGP standings with 171 points. The incision made the achievements of the Spanish racer not to be overtaken by rivals, with the 2020 MotoGP championship only one race left.
For Mir, the 2020 MotoGP world title has made a special record. Because, he did it when he was only five years old to compete in the motorbike racing world championship.
Mir was originally supposed to qualify for the world championship in 2015. At that time, he was in the Moto3 class with the Leopard Racing team, but was only a reserve racer.
Only in 2016, Mir got many opportunities. He appeared as a regular racer, and finished fifth at the end of the season.
A year later, Mir could become Moto3 world champion with Leopard Racing. This result brought him up to Moto2 in 2018. One season in Moto2, his score was not very bad, namely finishing 6th.
In 2019, Mir also went up to MotoGP, after being recruited by Suzuki. After finishing 12th last season, the racer from Mallorca could become champion in 2020.
The record of five seasons immediately won him surpass Rossi and Marquez. This is because the two current MotoGP icons have only been able to win the MotoGP title in their sixth season.
Marquez was only able to become a MotoGP champion when he entered his sixth season, since his full debut at the world championships in 2008. As for Rossi, too, with only MotoGP champion in 2022, since his debut in 1996.
