BOLASPORT.COM – Repsol Honda racer, Joan Mir, expressed his feelings about problems with his motorbike during the Portimao MotoGP Test.
Honda’s danger alarm is still ringing after the unsatisfactory results in the last pre-season test at the Algarve Circuit, Portimao, Portugal, last weekend, 11-12 March 2023.
Two Repsol Honda racers, Marc Marquez and Joan Mir, are still not confident about being able to compete in the front position.
Mir, who previously did not comment much, is now venting his dissatisfaction with the problems with the 2023 RC213V.
Despite being a Honda rider with the best time record during the Portimao MotoGP Test, the two-time world champion was stifled by the overly aggressive character of the machine.
The less smooth distribution of power made it difficult for Mir to prevent it wheelie or conditions when the front tire is raised so that it interferes with acceleration.
“During start practice, I experienced wheelie so almost thought my RC213V would take off like a plane,” complained Mir quoted BolaSport.com from Speedweek.
“I do not see any problems with the electronics as happened with the engine characteristics that are too aggressive,” he continued.
This problem is combined with the torque curve on the factory motorbike with the single wing logo which is called brutal.
