This situation will make it difficult for Laporta, because he cannot carry out his role as president until he gets a guarantee of 126 million euros from donations from the club board, or 15 percent of the club budget. Until now, this guarantee has not been fulfilled, and is expected to be completed on Monday (15/3).
Now, Laporta must find a strong financial position to fill this vacant role. In the financial sector, Barcelona itself is in debt of 1.17 billion euros.
