In her latest writings, Rowling took a strong stance on Scotland’s new hate crime law.

The British newspaper Daily Mail writes that the Scottish police have not taken action because of Rowling’s writings due to the law change.

Police Scotland confirmed on their X account that the comments in question do not meet the requirements of the crime.

– We have received notifications from social media messages. The comments have not been judged to be against the law, and no further action will be taken based on them.

Rowling has received support from the Prime Minister of Great Britain Rishi Sunakilta.

– People should not be held criminally responsible if they present facts about biology out loud, Sunak said.
