Big news about a new one Star Trek-movie. Paramount Pictures has announced a fourth film in the reboot series. The familiar faces will probably return for the film.
UPDATE: Not much later it became clear that the film 22 december 2023 should appear.
At a shareholder meeting, ViacomCBS revealed that Star Trek in Star Trek: Into Darkness-Director J.J. Abrams returns as producer and that in any case Chris Pine is already in talks to return as James T. Kirk.
The direction is in the hands of WandaVision-Director Matt Shakman† Paramount Pictures also hopes to welcome back Zachary Quinto (Spock), Zoe Saldana (Lieutenant Uhura), Karl Urban (Dr. Bones McCoy), John Cho (Sulu), and Simon Pegg (Scotty).
Star Trek 4 is coming after all!
Since Star Trek Beyond from 2016, there are all kinds of reports of a new Star Trek movie starring the cast from the reboot series, the Kelvin timeline.
It is striking that the recordings have to start before the end of 2022, with a script by Josh Friedman and Cameron Squires. Already in the cinema next year? Earlier 2024.
