A while ago, nominations for the 29th Czech Lion Award were announced. Do you have any favorites among the nominees?
Jiří Mádl: But yeah. Should I mention them?
–
You can?
Jiří Mádl: I really liked Zátopek, who deserves an award in many categories, and then there are a lot of acting performances where the nominations are completely correct.

From what I have seen, I would quite agree with the voters, I would vote quite similarly.
–
How are you, Mrs. Bor?
Magdalena Borova: I would not like to touch anyone, because there are a lot of categories and the content of those categories. Probably the most valuable film for me was because of the theme. And otherwise I really liked the documents. The Intensive Life Unit hit me a lot.

You both have Czech lions. Where are they?
Jiří Mádl: They are in such a niche, next to the stationery.
–
Magdalena Borova: I was remodeling the apartment a bit now, so it was a bit dusty, it was lying under the bed. Now the lion is in the new library and I still don’t know if this is the right place for him.
–
Many people would also like to know if you know who you will be announcing in the nominations, in advance, ie before the live broadcast.
Jiří Mádl: Yes, we know that. I try to load the documents professionally so that, for example, we do not misrepresent someone’s name.

It is definitely a festive moment for a lot of people. We don’t want it to end up like at a prom, where people associate the festive moment with the distortion of the name.
–
How are you doing with the nominated films? Have you seen the majority or the minority?
Magdalena Borova: I tried to see most when I was alone in the academy (organizer of the event Czech Film and Television Academy – pozn. red.). I tried to check everything out.
–
Jiří Mádl: I haven’t seen two films that have a lot of nominations, otherwise I’ve seen them all.
–
I’m guessing now. Haven’t you seen the Occupation?
Jiří Mádl: I saw the Occupation. I haven’t seen The Man with the Rabbit Ears and the Bugs.
