Jiri and Florence are having a hard time: “I feel it’s a foregone conclusion” | BLIND GROOM

TVThunderstorms over Florence and Jiri. The couple fails to build a strong bond and this has led to a confrontation over affection and misunderstanding at the breakfast table. With Christiaan and Jana it’s very different: they played the first tongue kiss of the season and even dropped the word “sex”. Joren and Lien, a little desperate, then call their mothers as a last resort.

Like two teenagers in love, Jana and Christiaan sat on the couch of relationship therapist Wim Slabbinck. On the program: a conversation about intimacy. Red-faced and giggling, Jana told them that she hasn’t done it yet. No problem, Slabbinck thought, but what’s wrong with trying? And so he suggested that Christiaan simply ask his wife the question. Nervous hilarity. “Would that suit you?” Christiaan finally asked. “Yes,” Jana shuffled back and forth on the sofa.

Or how the intention to act can simply be forced. Slabbinck was pleased, because he also confided to the couple that their “sexual curiosity” is one of the reasons the kindergarten teacher and the emergency room nurse were matched. Still hilarity on the part of the two. “Now we expect each other to become sex gods,” Christiaan laughed nervously. Previously, Jana also stated that she “she is just waiting for the right time”. The two seem already intertwined. More information below.

Peaceful breakfast

Intertwined is pretty much everything Florence and Jiri aren’t. The traffic cop and the emergency room nurse had their first fight. This went – off camera – as follows. When she left for work, she hugged him. Nice, thought Jiri, who for six episodes she has been wondering about some form of affection. And so she sent her a message to say it. She panicked completely. Florence: “She sent: ‘I enjoy every touch with you’. That black and white reading was too much. The fact that I later told him with a laugh that I would not hold him back again, he took the wrong path. “I feel it’s already a foregone conclusion,” she said. The result was a quiet duo at breakfast. A spark in the right direction seems a long way off right now.

Three things Florence asks her husband Jiri to give their relationship another chance. Time, time and time. Poor Jiri, on the other hand, is completely confused with her feelings. “I want to try, but I’m held back by his doubts,” she tells a friend. Moments later, she admits to him true feelings about him. “There’s a good chance it won’t work,” she confesses she honestly.

It just doesn’t seem to come to Florence. Three times in this episode she claims that she has “no attraction” to her husband of hers. When relationship therapist Sarah Hertens urges her to actively work with her intimacy, she almost pulls away from the consultation chair in discomfort. And when the word “sex” is mentioned, she just doesn’t turn purple. “Sex? Oh no!” she almost shakes her head from her frail shoulders. “Sometimes Jiri winks at me and I think, ‘too soon,'” says Florence.

Although there are also some elements of hope. Florence tells her sister of hers that she occasionally feels a spark for her her husband. And what you certainly argue in favor of the West Flemish is the fact that she does not shy away from the difficulties she has with her feelings. She names them, which means she wants to work on them and she hasn’t given up on the experiment yet. Patience is – again – the code word for Jiri.

Jana and Christiaan: “Thanks to him, distance doesn’t matter anymore”

Three cheers and cheers on all the benches, because the first kiss of the language of the season is a fact. During a Netflix evening on the couch with a blanket, an unmanned camera recorded the intimate moment between Jana and Christiaan. During their honeymoon, the two had a moment of crisis when she admitted that she didn’t find her trained nurse’s appearance very attractive, but that flaw seems to have disappeared. Distance too – he lives in Geel, she lives in Lokeren – no longer seems to be a problem. “I was looking forward to having to move every day from work in Lokeren to our apartment in Kontich, but if I know it’s there, I don’t mind,” Jana said. We notice this as a first-class declaration of love.

Joren and Lien: “Walls above instead of below”

The good intentions buffet is still lavishly filled by Joren and Lien. “I’m going to throw myself until the last day,” said a combative Joren. “I need to open up more,” said Lien, admitting that “his wall went up rather than down.” But a blind person can see that his situation is quite desperate. An uncomfortable hug at a meeting, a distant touch on her knee when she goes to work. And even with relationship therapist Sarah Hertens, Lien first admits that there was no click when she first saw Joren. What do you do in such a desperate situation? Right. Call your mother. And so the two mothers showed up at Lien’s bar. “They are always surrounded by others, so you can never get to know each other,” Lien’s mom said. “If it doesn’t work out, you’ve made a commitment,” Joren’s mother concluded. If even mothers can’t see a way out, we don’t see it at all.

Brecht and Dziubi: “How compatible we are is not normal”

Last week, the camera recorded some awkward moments between Brecht and Dziubi. The two seemed to have a different view of the future, with Brecht clearly going a little faster than her husband Limburg. But now Brecht and Dziubi’s train seems to be moving at a brisk pace. They were only briefly discussed about this episode, but when they entered the scene it was hozanna again. “How compatible we are is not normal, where does it end?” Asks Brecht, who also took her husband to his parents. There Dziubi has already become ‘our Dziubi’. Still not a speck in the air.
